About

Identified as a Key Local Project the Christchurch City Council kindly bestowed monies from their project funds for the Rowley Resource Centre Incorporated Society to purchase our own building. So we are now a privileged community group with the responsibility of owning our own premises in the heart of the Rowley/Hoon Hay community.
We provide a range of services from supporting families through the use of a Community Advisor to assist with resourcing and supporting, through to the free use of phone, computers & internet access, photocopier and scanner.
We are a Centre where you can just come in relax, read the paper, have a chat and grab yourself a cup of tea or coffee and meet others. We have a wonderful team of volunteers who support us in a variety of ways, from the beautiful work in the garden or in the kitchen through to the Volunteer Tutors.
We have a range of courses available and provide cheap vegetables through the Vege Co-op that is a volunteer community initiative established throughout Christchurch.

The Rowley Resource Centre is an Incorporated Society governed by a Board who employ four permanent part-time staff members - a Manager, Communication Support Advisor, Community Focus Advisor and a Financial Administrator.
